Molokovo .
- Small town, the administrative center Molokovsky District,
Tver Region. Located 203 km north-east of
Tver. The population is 2,2 thousand people.
Molokovo first mentioned in 1568. At the beginning of the
XVII century ruined the Polish invaders. It is known that
until 1714 the village was an estate Molokovo
Trinity-Sergius Monastery, and then transferred to the
Alexander Nevsky Monastery. In the second half of the 18th
century - a big trading village.
Molokovo is home to the Soviet commander, Marshal Nikolai
Ogarkov. NV Cinders was awarded the gold star of Hero of the
Soviet Union (28/10/1977), 2 Orders of Lenin, Order of
Suvorov, 1st Class and other awards.
