Sandovo.

- Small town, the administrative center Sandovskii District, Tver Region. The village is situated at the confluence of Ratyni Orudovka and 248 km from Tver. The population is 3,6 thousand people.
Sandovo known since 1500 as a village. Prior to 1764 belonged to Nicholas Antony Krasnokholmsky monastery.
After the formation of Sandovskii district in 1929, the administrative center was moved to the village Orudovo (renamed Sandovo) under the railway station Sandovo and village Sandovo renamed Old Sandovo.
May 9, 1975 a monument was unveiled to the soldiers - fellow-countrymen who died during World War II.
